چکیده
Chlorantraniliprole (DPX-E2Y45, Rynaxypyr, Coragen) is a new compound by DuPont belonging to a new class of selective insecticides (anthranilic diamides) featuring a novel mode of action (group 28 in the IRAC classification). By activating the insect ryanodine receptors (RyRs) it stimulates the release and depletion of intracellular calcium stores from the sarcoplasmic reticulum of muscle cells, causing impaired muscle regulation, paralysis and ultimately death of sensitive species (Cordova et al. 2006). Extensively tested in the field since 2002, it is registered or next to market introduction in the majority of agricultural countries worldwide. Development in Slovenia is currently focused in foliar applications in apples, potatoes and grapes. In the EU trials, rates of 10-60 g a.s./ha were highly effective on important pests such as: Cydia pomonella, Cydia molesta, Lobesia botrana, Eupoecilia ambiguella, Leptinotarsa decemlineata, Ostrinia nubilalis and Helicoverpa armigera. The product general features have been presented in previous, referenced papers. It has very low toxicity for mammals (both acute and chronic), high intrinsic activity on target pests, strong ovilarvicidal and larvicidal properties, long lasting crop protection and no cross-resistance to any existing insecticide. Coragen demonstrated excellent performance on codling moth and other chewing pests, stability of performance across the different conditions and minimal impact on pollinators, beneficial insects and predatory mites. Whereas the new mode of action makes chlorantraniliprole a valuable option for IRM (Insecticide Resistance Management) strategies, safety to key beneficial arthropods and honeybees confer a strong fit within IPM (Integrated Production Management) programs. The remarkably favourable toxicity profile of chlorantraniliprole, combined with the low use rates, provides large margins of safety for consumers and agricultural workers. After reviewing the product profile, results from laboratory, field and semi-field tests are provided.

Dissipation of chlorantraniliprole, chlorpyrifos-methyl and indoxacarb—insecticides used to control codling moth (Cydia Pomonella L.) and leafrollers (Tortricidae) in apples for production of baby food
Dissipations of three insecticides: chlorantraniliprole, chlorpyrifos-methyl and indoxacarb in apples were studied following their foliar application on apples intended for production of baby food. The apples were sprayed with formulations for control of codling moth (Cydia Pomonella L.) and leafrollers (Tortricidae). Six experiments were conducted; each insecticide was applied individually on ...

The efficiency of insecticides with different activity mechanisms in the control of codling moth (Cydia pomonella L.) was examined in three-year field trials, at the locality of Bela Crkva in Serbia. In the control of this pest, chlorantraniliprole and the combination of chlorpyrifos and cypermethrin exhibited the highest level of efficiency (up to 98.8% and 97.6%, respectively). Insect growth ...

Codling moth, Cydia pomonella (L.), remains a principal insect pest of tree fruit orchards throughout the temperate regions of the world (Barnes 1991; Beers et al. 1993). Its larvae bore deep into the fruits of apple, pear and walnut making them unmarketable. The majority of conventional growers still rely on chemical insecticides to control this insect. However, concerns regarding development ...

Abstract Background and Aims: The Cydia pomonella granulovirus (CpGV) is a baculovirus and very effective biological control agent against apple pest, codling moth, Cydia pomonella L. especially for healthy organic apple production and protection. Not only, screening of CpGV isolates via biochemical variation, but also their biological variation is practically necessary. Howeve...
